GUIDELINES for black and white photography group

hey there guys =] please abide by these :)

  1. 1. obviously, only b&w images or soft toned (duo tones) please. and no selective colouring either. works which have been heavily edited will also not be accepted.
  2. 2. please only have a total of 5 images in the group at one time. feel free to switch these around though.
  3. 3. only submit 2 works per day, so that other peoples work can be seen as well
  4. 4. play nice and be helpful with your constructive criticism. please note however that some may not want criticism displayed to a (buying) public. (bubblemail is a good option here)
  5. 5. of course, only upload work that complies with the Redbubble Guidelines
  6. 6. for journals – only upload ones directly related to b&w photography such as the way you process your images or upcoming exhibitions

also, please only submit the shots you are personally proud of, not just anything that is b&w. this group should be a showcase of your best b&w work =]

    Hey Imogene! Awesome that you started this group up. Let me know down the road if you decide to expand it to other flavors of art. I’ve always felt black and white work is under appreciated.

    Imogene, I received your email:

    “please do not add your text work, colour photographs or non-relevant journals to the black and white photography group. if you continue to keep adding them after they have been removed i will have to delete you from the group.”

    I wanted to apologize to this group, I did not realize I should not be adding my text work, please remove what you have to. Black & white photos are my favorite, as I have most of my family pictures in our livingroom done in black & white only. I will continue to enjoy this groups work. Thank you again!

    I love black and white imagery. They are realy nice and ‘classy’. They simplify the subject. Great for portraits and weddings.

    I’m so happy I found this group. I only joined a short time ago and am so glad I became a member of this group. There are some outstanding pieces of art here and I enjoy seeing everybody’s photos. Thank you for creating this group and the guidelines are perfect.

    these guide lines are easy and simple to follow and are straight forward. i shall stand by them in all my photos. i do have a question though, what about sepia.

    I agree with these Guidelines, This way everyone can have something in and no one with have to worry about someone else having so much in at one time and them missing the chance to get there art work out there to be seem.

    Like the idea of a limit but is there any easy way for me to locate images I have added to the group? I would like to replace the older ones with something a bit fresher.

    I am new to the group and have posted two of my pictures. How do I go about finding them? Do I have to search through all the pics in the group? Oh, I like the pictures I am seeing so far.

    I also happy that I found this group. Black and white are my first love over color even though I have mostly color now that I found this group I be smitting black and white as well.
    the only question i have do you accept sepia tones?

    I love Black and White; it is a very underestimated form of art. I love pics in B and W; with
    sometimes a high light of color. But I love pics of my adorable grandson in B and W most
    of all. As I go thru my photos, I hope to find a few that will do this group justice.
