‘Imagining Science’ is an art exhibition for Reading Science Week, part of the British Science Association’s National Science & Engineering Week 2013. The exhibition features the work of three scientist artists, Sally Hunter, Michelle Anderst and Immy Smith (so… me!)
We look at the way science and art investigate the world around us, and the role imaginative thinking and collaboration play in both fields. We explore the process of discovery from the perspective of each artist, with reference to each of our scientific and artistic backgrounds. The exhibition also features fluorescence and scanning electron microscopy, a ‘guess the micrograph’ game and drawing activities. We’re also selling a printed exhibition catalogue in aid of Brain Tumour Research and the CC75C project. Join us and be part of this science-art experiment! Find out more by clicking here
