Octopi Occupy

How an octopus moves
Is how I imagine
The coming together of us.

16 arms, we’ll have
16 torn flags
Accidentally waving for something
While a hundred fluttering suction cups
Cheer us on.

Suspended there
We will think
It’s a shame to have so many arms
When we don’t know what to do with them.
