Wake Up

Wake Up

Life was a jaded happiness
Convulsions of laughter bobbing in a curdled milk of sorrow
Deep under the rippled moonlight surface lies a beast of entrapped anger
Learning to swim
Waiting to surface it’s rude head bringing realisation and all consequences with it
Tied heavily down with thick ropes of denial, it thrashes below
Her piercing spear of immature anger stirs the submerged beast
Ropes fray, but still it cannot swim
Its anger builds with every strike
As its confidence begins to bubble and steam
Sun then rose, the ropes pull taught
The beast begins to surface
No longer suppressed by denial and fear
It swims fast strong and free as it breaks through the surface
As the feeling of vile wastage fills my soul
Your warmth now penetrates my skin as you coat me with your true love and realisation.
For now happiness has been stripped of its protective coats for I have made my way to the core.My soul boils with intense love as it spills onto youA feeling stronger than ever, now surrounds and captures me Complete I am, without submerged creatures lurking within me
As I float contently on your warm sea of true love

Wake Up
