that Damned show.....
Some of my work will be on exhibition along with many Dark Art luminaries such as HR Giger (the creator of the creature in “Alien” along with many superbly twisted and creepy masterpieces) Constantine Gedal, and Chad Michael Ward this Devil’s Night (October 30 – a Northern U.S. night of mischief and menace made infamous in the movie “The Crow”) in Detroit..
The show is appropriately entiled “Macabre – that Damned Show”
I won’t be making the trip, but 2 of my pieces will:
“Three Weird Sisters”
and
“Shame”
I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have my work included in a show with Giger… sometimes we really are known by the company we keep!
I know that as consciously as I have tried to create beautiful romantic images in the past year and a half – there is a dark side to my work that always seems to peek through – it may be time for me to start consciously exploring that now…

Thanks Rosemary – I have found that that the average person (ie – “non-artist” ) has no idea who Giger is, but really – I think everyone has seen his work somewhere along the way (and just about every artist knows – or should know- his work!)...This is one of those “exposure” type gigs that come along only so often – and I just had to say yes when they asked me to be included…
