What a wonderful homage to the “Master Therion”!
    An amazing self-portrait.
I am drawn toward your intense gaze and the commanding way your eyes meet the camera.
I also like the way you kissed it with color, creates an interesting splitting effect.

the shawdow behind you looks almost distorted into a “yoda” personage…. intentional? very cool regardless…........

Also glad to see this full size. The simplicity of the alter – the so very non-panto-pagan reality of the craft and the shadow cast on the wall speaks of…

    ...knowing.

    Excellent.

Something about him always creeped me out…you certainly captured that here in your shot.
    Good work

Our dear friend Edward Alexander Crowley was a highly gifted sentient being who often times misunderstood and occasionally misused his ability to work with energy. You have captured the essence of energy work in your self-portrait. Very nicely done. Here’s hoping your work with energy is used effectively ….. ~S

Thomas Dodd in reply to S.I. Sheehan’s comment, 8 months ago

Definitely misunderstood and most assuredly under-rated. Explorer, charlatan, satirist, poet, and all around clown/genius/philosopher… My energy work is mostly art-related so I think I’m safe (and I don’t expect to turn into a camel anytime soon!)

Thanks for the comment and fave add!

YelworC! I was hoping to be the first to comment on the shadow, but got beat to the punch. It’s very Nosferatu. Slick image, man.

practise a thousand times, and it becomes difficult;a thousand thousand, and it becomes easy;a thousand thousand times a thousand thousand times and it is no longer.thou that doeth it,but it that doeth thee.not until then is that which is done well done- the great mans words
