The Lovers

All romantic love is based on self-love, for it is in the eyes of our beloved that we see our ideal self reflected…. and THAT is what utterly captivates us…

Available as a VALENTINE’S DAY card!!!
(what better way to tell your lover that they are a selfish irresponsible louse?!)

This is a manipulation of a self portrait by flickr user “Mon Shari”

I love the text with this image. Are you interested in psycho analyse ?
Makes me think of Freud a lot.

  • Thomas Dodd replied

Yes I am Anna – very much, although I am much more intrigued by Jung than Freud..

Yes, I understand, Jung is more mythical/mystical, eh… But Freud was his teacher and friend. I think they’re both interesting. As a psychotherapist I have read Freud more than Jung. But as an artist I agree that Jung can be more intriguing…
    Have a nice day,
    Anna

  • Thomas Dodd replied

Thanks Anna – maybe I can lay on your couch sometime..

Nature has decided to take advantage of such refelction..
    unmoving soul of ideal contemplation..
and open… the buds of fertility..
