I adore this one… I love the passionate creative red in the dark ashes of her hair…. the shape her hands make above the troubled sleeper… the cocoon of energy around the sleeper as well as the suggestion of a silver soulchord leading off into unseen dreams… Marvelous work!

Is she holding her own feet or the feet of her guardian?

Perhaps the guardian is an extension of herself. Perhaps it is her conscience which allows her to sleep with ease or causes angst.
Another way I look at it is the Guardian is concentrating very hard to watch over her subject while in the most vulnerable position a human can be in, sleep. It means the fetal position woman can rest as a child knowing her Guardian is on the job.
Beautiful work and wonderful for the imagination.
