Fabulous shot Bob, on my wish list :-)) Must have been an amazing experience, such a beauty continent.
Bob Wickham replied
Thankyou Varinia, the view is amazing but it’s the magical aura that really stirs the soul.
I’ve been there twice now, 20 years apart, and both times had the same effect on me.
earthairfire
Wow – what an eyecatching image. The clouds, the light, the composition – all spot on. Fabulous work.

Planning a trip to South America next year and this is one place i am definately going to visit! Have a look at my page, i do Australian Panoramic Landscapes.
Bob Wickham replied
Hi Martin, South America is a huge place and theres a lot more to it than a few icons like Machu Picchu and Iguassu Falls. Make sure you allow enough time to explore. Patagonia is a ‘must see’
Béla Török

Bob Wickham replied
thanks Tom, very much appreciated
Braedene
I loved Machu Picchu- so many pics you can never choose the one you like best. This one has the clouds rolling in which adds to the mystery of the place – perfect and although I have so many of my own I’m favouriting this one as I don’t have ones with cl;ouds- simply perfect. Liz
Bob Wickham replied
thankyou Braedene, we had to be there early for the clouds. In fact we were so early, we couldn’t see the city at all, because of the clouds
AngieBel

Rachael Talibart
This is a classic view of course, but one that never gets old IMO. And photography of this standard never gets old either. Superb shot. Instant fave. Incidentally, I see that you use my dream camera (I have been lusting after a 5Dii for nearly a year). I assume you are pleased with its performance? your images make a good case for it.
Bob Wickham replied
Thanks Rachael, I’ve tried to include some of the ‘aura’ in my photograph, but nothing beats actually being there.
Very happy with the camera. Very easy to use, especially if you have had Canon before, and the quality of the images is superb. I shoot in Raw and thats the only way to take advantage of what the camera can offer.
Rachael Talibart
Thanks, Bob. I’ll get one one day – prices are falling here… I converted to RAW a while ago and now I can’t imagine ever shooting in anything else ;o)
Bob Wickham replied 28 days ago
They’re still a little expensive here but the camera is very good. The video feature would be good for you, especially with the kids.
