Only A Mirage

Only A Mirage belongs to the following groups:

The Sensual Word

From afar you beckoned to me
Like a cool fertile oasis in the scorching desert,
how I longed to taste your liquid coolness on my tongue,
to lie down beneath your sheltering palms,
and be lulled into ecstasy on your undulating sands

When I awoke you where nowhere to be found
I lay upon the anvil earth, alone,
more parched than before,
robbed of my own juices,
sucked dry by your voracious need

You are a careless illusion
a heartless beacon,
a fiery longing,
I got lost in until
I awoke from your mirage

the loneliness is always worse when it is interrupted – and you think for a moment that it is over, that human warmth has come back into your life – i know this feeling too. you have described it so perfectly, so elegantly. it is passion that fuels us in creating the way we do. and loneliness is also a passion. your words are full of passion.

  • Anne McGinn replied

thank you Judith dear, coming from these words mean a great deal, and yeah, in the end, its all about passion
