I really enjoyed working on this painting because of the underlying texture. It’s painted on top of an older acrylic painting that I didn’t have any real attachment to.

WOW. This is fantastic. I love the lighting, it’s so dynamic. And I really like the subject matter too. As a white British man, images like these create a romantic mysticism to me. It makes me ask questions like: Is this lady in Africa, or in New York or London? When was this moment, 50 years ago, or yesterday? I like this a lot. It’s got that timeless quality to it that I try to find in my work.
