Cute (and that’s not a word you’ll often hear from me !)
I have to say that your work has just knocked me right out. Not the sort of images I would normally be attracted to but the quality of your work is just so high. Wonderful stuff. Really in another dimension.
I’m taken by this one because the peter/tinkerbell imagery intersects with a thesis I’m just finishing. My research area is to do with Captain Robert Scott of Antarctica and his friendship with Matthew Barrie who wrote Peter Pan. Without going into that I have done a bit of research into fairys and young Tinkerbell in particular. She got her name because she was a tinker amongst fairys. A gypsy girl who had not been particually well brought up. Her job amongst the fairys was repairing the saucepans etc ….which may have been why she ran off with Peter. Peter found fairys quite tiresome most of the time and was often driven to giving them a cuff as they were pesky little things most of the time.
Tinkerbell was obsessed with Peter and very jelous of Wendy which led her to betraying Wendy in the end. Peter kept her under control most of the time by threatening to pull the curtains to her sleeping area and expose her in her fairy undies to all the lost boys!
Given the Kiyle Minouge take on fairys that most people have I have always been much more interested in them as the rather uncouth tricky little creatures that Barrie portays them as. Much more interesting to be honest.
Hope you don’t mind me adding my take on this fantastic story to your beautiful sweet imagery.
