Santa Claus is coming to town

Santa’s recruiting

Detail

This piece was nominated by Ronnileigh to be showcased in Pay It Forward.

Ronnileigh said:
The first time I seen “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” I fell in love with it. I can feel the emotion of the children, it tugged at my heart. The terror and tears just melted my heart. It looked to me the baby had cried itself to sleep from exhaustion. Then you have Santa looking mean and about to find them. This piece is so life like.

Thank you so much, Ronnileigh, It’s a great honour to have my image chosen as your favourite work on RB.

it intrigues me that if you just swap one letter in SANTA you get SATAN… It’s almost as if you have illustrated my thoughts perfectly…

Thank you so much for posting this work…my husband and I have spent years being ridiculed by our family for our feelings about Santa Clause…
We are Christians and we celebrate Christmas with Christ as the center, not a fat man in a red suit who knows everything about you…who children pray to, who can make your Christmas good or bad, who the world worships, who’s name is an anagram for Satan, who lives at the North Pole (which is mentioned in scripture:
Isa 14:13: For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will
exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Isa 14:14: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most
    High.)

Even his last name, “Claus,” is Olde English for “hoof-claws.”

Anyone who takes the place of God or steals His rightful place in our hearts is not good.

Here is an interesting link if you would like to “check some information for yourself”http://www.biblebelievers.com/watkins_santa/santa.html which you probably are already aware of…

Santa has elves who are helpers…Here is what Wikipedia says about elves: “An elf is a creature of Germanic mythology. The elves were originally thought of as a race of minor nature and fertility gods, who are often pictured as youthful-seeming men and women of great beauty living in forests and underground places and caves, or in wells and springs. They have been portrayed to be long-lived or immortal and as beings of magical powers.” Wikiepedia

The Holy Bible says, there is one God and besides Him there is no other. Anyway, I know that historically Christ was not born on December 25th. It was during the lambing season and the sheep and shepherds were in the field and the weather was still warm enough to be outside. Also, based upon the conception of John the Baptist related to the religious services performed by Zacharias and the fact that his conception took place six months before the virgin conception of Christ…gives us a more clear time of his birth.

Still, my husband and I celebrate Christmas as a time to rejoice in the birth of our Lord and spend time with the family because that is the time their employers give them time off to get together. It is a time we can be there and share whatever light God opens the door for.

    God bless you hun…..
