Hooray, I found out this morning that my “Strawberries” picture won the challenge in the Everyday life group. I have been doing mild somersaults ever since! Amazing sometimes how things happen at the moment when you start to doubt yourself.

So I finally saved up enough to buy myself a new camera. Been saving for ages and today decided that it was time… time to buy. I got myself a lovely new Nikon D300 and a nice shiny new lens to go with it. Hooray! I have finally managed to get 1000 views on my pictures. I know that is a long gone benchmark for many of you but for me it is amazing. I was terrified to put my work up for public critique but I have had nothing but positive comments, friendly advice and amazing inspiration.
