The city of Chania is the second largest city of Crete and the capital of the Chania regional unit. Chania’s Old Town is considered the most beautiful urban district on Crete, especially the crumbling Venetian harbour. The borders of the Old Town are the mostly destroyed old Venetian wall (and bulwarks) and this has been the cradle of all the civilizations which were developed in the area.

About Igor Shrayer

I grew up in Eastern Europe and in Israel. As a child, I was drawn to the reproductions of the great Masters that were used on postage stamps. I collected these and knew from an early age that I wanted to paint. I wrote songs, constructed collages and painted. Via these media, i was able to reflect my view of life, my vision and the colours of my perspective. While I had no set ideas of what I wanted to be when I grew up, I wanted it to be something where I could express myself via creativity.
