Igor Pozdnyakov

I am a semiconductors engineer by education, Silicon Valley software engineer by occupation, and a painter and photographer by heart.

I grew up in the Russian Far East and went to school in Vladivostok, a city near Chinese and Korean borders, not far from Japan.

A friend of mine called me “a visionist” – I can paint what pops in my mind just as well as what is in front of me. I always had very picturesque imagination. I do landscape and cityscape photography and use some of it in my paintings.

Since 2013 I live in Geneva, Switzerland. In this more urban environment I am trying to get into urban sketching which is a lot of fun.
