Red Bubble Nebula by

Red “Bubble” Nebula ;-)

Also called NGC 7635. Is a red hydrogen emission nebula in the constellation Cassiopeia.

The “bubble” is created by the stellar wind from a massive hot, young central star about 15x solar mass. The nebula is near a giant molecular cloud which contains the expansion of the bubble nebula while itself being excited by the hot central star, causing it to glow.

4.4" Newton, Canon 350D, EQ6PRO mount.
Photo was taken during two noghts and telescope was accidentally rotated to 45 degrees in bracing rings, so I’ve got 8 streaks instead of usual 4 for reflectors :)

About 4.3 hours of total exposition time

p.s. Sorry for mediocre quality. I should re-take this photo in future with new, higher-grade equipment.
