1/3: Basil Rathbone (BR) — The Sherlock Holmes of the 1930s – 1940s. Also one of the most iconic of all the Sherlock Holmes, in that, he essentially captured the look intended by Sidney Paget. Best known for his illustrations that accompanied Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes stories in The Strand magazine.
THIS IS HAND DRAWN VECTOR ART. NOT A POSTERIZED PHOTOGRAPH: Rathbone is the first in a set of three designs inspired by Shepard Fairey’s political posters. However, I wanted to add my own touch and so devised my own finish, to make them more personal. For more see Behance
