Out of Shape and Time (Doctor Who) by

A complacent timelord! A quirky scene to celebrate the return of our two favourite companions into the Whoniverse.

No doctors were harmed in the making of this piece – just allowed to get fat!

Item received yesterday, the only problem now is finding a suitable place to honor it. Funny and well done!

ha ha! Love it. This just cracked me up! You have to wonder how it went on Pete’s World. You know ~ with that “Other” guy, the Regular Mortal who only looked like a Timelord even though he had the memories of the real one. Would that be frustrating, or what?! And then, poor Rose. I mean, one day a guy is taking you across all of time and space ~ the next, it’s just the crummy diner down the road, maybe now and then a movie! BIG let down! ha (I am anxious though, to see how Moffat works them in with Matt. And I’m assuming ~ hoping? ~ it’s the Real David, not the duplicate!) ~ fave! ~

  • Hehe. Thank You – and TY for including it. You know, it’s weird, but in my other worlds (largely 3D world) I actually favour depicting the Meta Crisis over ‘The Doctor’, largely because 1: I still get to depict David (I think it’s obvious where my muse lies) and 2: Fascination with how the Human Doctor, may have responded, particularly in terms of his physical response, to the regeneration of his counterpart. I mean how did he feel? Would he have experienced his pain, or his thoughts before passing (so to speak). Did he start to age quickly? (In which case I truly believe he become Sir Piers Pomfrey!) I yearn for the fact that one day, someone will make a movie on the aftermath. Of course, we could just believe that the Human Doctor is now really DI Alec Hardy. Miserable and his heart is failing him :D But that’s another tale…..

Y’know… I never thought of that! Maybe it would be like those accounts you hear of identical twins; one has a car wreck in New York, the other’s sitting there in San Francisco ~ suddenly goes “Oomp! Something hit me! What the heck was that?” (This kind of thing has reportedly occurred even when the parties in question had no clue they even had a twin! Spooky action at a distance?) It’s a fascinating subject, both on the real level and the Whovian. But wait! Who said the Doctor wasn’t real??? Between us we should write a book. ha ha! If you get a chance send me a link to your Other World; would love to see your work.

I did notice, that you have an affinity for David. Me, I’m “divided” just like he was. Loved him! Loved Chris. Took awhile but I now love Matt. Well, I loved Tom Baker; that’s where I came in (80’s). And now I wait with bated breath to see who’s #12. Unless it’s Cumberbatch (I’m sure it’s not), I won’t like him too much either right at first, I’m sure. Do you think we’re the only ones who noticed, right from the moment it occurred, that the Meta-David must be in for abject misery and suicidal angst?? ouch It would drive me crazy! Donna’s better off: no memories of her Tardis days!

Thanks for sharing. (There are those who tell me that I suffer from a Dr. Who addition. Not true! I’m enjoying every minute of it!) :-)

  • Thank you kindly. I hope it manages to raise a smile or two. Although, I think the jury is still out on which version of David’s Doctor we may be seeing here…I will let the public decide! :D
