I don’t shy away from the fact that some people might find this image confronting or possibly offensive but I feel very strongly about this subject. Here in Australia there have been recent revelations and inquiries about the clergy, institutions and abuse.

This is a composite image of 3 of my own images. The main image is taken at an abandoned orphanage in Goulburn NSW Australia and the other images shot in our studio.

Nikon D700 24-70 f2.8 lens
ISO 200 f18 HDR of 5 x RAW files tonemapped with Photomatix Pro and adjusted with PS CS6

I’m a Sydney based photographer. Photographic interests are the outdoors, people, action, HDR and creative works as well as pretty much everything I guess.

This image works well toghter it is subtle not in your face at first I did not see the person at the top on the landing. I think some times we have to create work about a difficult subject and what is in the media.

    Lovely work as always.

  • Hi Karen, many thanks for your thoughtful comment, it is very much appreciated !!!

Great expression on her face, Ian. I’ll bet she’s terrified of what’s up those stairs!

  • So pleased to get your comment Mel and the emotions evoked. So far there seems a reluctance to comment on this. Maybe I’m reading too much into it…….time will tell :))

I find this extremely well done!! You do such wonderful work! Great HDR and poignant message.

  • Thanks so much Jane. I have reworked this in B&W trying to make the priest more obvious. This issue is big news here at the moment with investigations going on.
