Bungonia State Conservation Area (NSW Australia) covers a strip of the Southern Tablelands from the spectacular limestone country east of Marulan, southwards along the escarpment to the west of the Shoalhaven River.
Central to the area is the Bungonia Gorge – a deep chasm carved in the limestone rocks, which themselves are full of limestone caves.
The area was once part of the ocean floor (which is where the limestone formed) and was uplifted at the time the Great Dividing Range was formed.

Nice one Ian, perhaps a judge would suggest you use a stepladder to seperate the foreground just a little from the far background top feft of the image. The image would look fantastic blown up on a large canvas.
    Cheers,
    Phil W.

  • Thanks a lot Phil. I wouldn’t like to have a step ladder on this lookout as it is right on the edge of a really serious cliff. Know what you are saying though and some more height would improve the perspective !!
