Golden Gully, one of my favourite places at Hill End NSW Australia, historic Gold mining town.
This is taken at 2.30pm and this is probably the best time as the sun reflects off the fabulous cliff faces to produce the golden effect. The gully gets it’s name from the tremendous quantity of gold taken from here, but I also think it appropriate from the photography POV due to the fabulous colours.
This is a 5 exposure HDR +/- 1 stop processed with Photomatix Pro and minor adjustments in CS5.
