Scottish artist Ian Goodall created Iconic Design Gallery Ltd. in 2007 to promote and sell his own original artwork based on Iconic figures from the genres of Film and Music. Since that time has sold his work throughout the UK and Abroad.
The inspiration for his portraits usually comes from a song lyric or a film title, and he carefully chooses the subject and style of painting to fit the mood of the piece.
Using the highest quality Acrylic paint and canvases, he takes many hours to select and draw the initial image to determine the most effective balance of composition. He then chooses the colours that will further enhance the vibrancy and mood of the image before finally applying paint to canvas.
While Ian’s work can be referenced to that of the Pop Art movement of the 1960’s he reintroduces us to this popular style in a new Millennium with his own unique style, composition and palette.
