Once Upon A Time....
This calender consists of a series of ongoing portraits created through the process of stepping out of my own way and allowing collected imagery symbols mixed media and intuition to BECOME! Once upon a time…... I planned my art by doing a sketch or having an idea….at least a place to start. And once upon a time I realized there was more that needed expressing than my underused brain could imagine….and I have a GOOD imagination. This intuitive way of working was a necessary step in my own evolution as artist and being….to relinquish control….to learn to listen to my inner guide or higher self. I came to find during this exercise that ‘what I was asked to put on canvas’ seemed to make no sense at all …...just strange little pieces from nowhere…or so I thought yet as I was living my life I realized that it made no sense either. I concluded that this no sense or nonsense I was creating through my judgment actually reflects the innate sense we come from and all have,,,,THE BIG SENSE….....a sense beyond …....and so I trust this way of working more than I trust my way of working! LOL Enjoy IN JOY in whatever sense you can.

isn’t it funny how we can buy gifts for others but not ourselves. i want to tell you….and not to do with this calender…..that you only live once so make sure you take good care of you and have the richest life you can. remember it is our belief system that holds us back and tells us things that it has learned but are not necessarily true. thank you for showing up sande!!!!

I’m a big believer in working intuitively. Although this is frowned upon in learning institutions I feel its a good way to work. There’s more going on than wer know when we create and working intuitively allows other things to come through.

every one of these is a winner stephanie, they are truly beautiful, i love how you work from the heart and not the mind….. i learned recently that in the heart there is a memory…..for when heart transplant recipients received the heart of another, they took on aspects of the deceased’s persons character…is it not fascinating what can be achieved when we listen to our subconscious…i think I’ll share this with some friends over in my journal with a link to your calendar, if that’s okay with you….

karin! can you believe it got done?! i am soooooo glad and of course want to press forward but needed a break so just took a lovely walk and am back.. actually i think i am going on a rock haul for the garden next. a friend said he would drive me to rock beach so we can ROCK out!!!
yes, i would be happy for any links or tips or LOVE support kindness. yes, can’t say no to that. i don’t think i am so adept as you at all this arts. but maybe i am just slower and older. not maybe….. you really have it all, karin. i’m not just saying it. i know it!
so amazng about the heart but then what about life isn’t amazing! when we are paying attention and not taking it for granted. every aspect is a miracle…the reality that it is and we are…....ooooooooh it’s big stuff!!!

yea! i have just put another up. i had to resize everything and it took time and i lost the commetns but IT IS DONE! i can move onto other things for a minute. i still have plans for another calender….one of my older and stronger works! so thank you for showing up. i look forward to see what you do!
