Here he is with two horses, wonder where he spent the night. This was about 5pm on Hwy 29 outside Burnet Texas.
horse, texas, cowboy, highway
Nice horses looks like he takes real good care of them.
Those horses were in great shape. I noticed that the one with blue foot things was a little more nervous than the other two. The 18 wheelers kind of ruggled his feathers so to speak.
I`ve seen this guy riding in Oklahoma before,…Sure like to know more about him,…Nice shot,…
Guess we will have to stop and ask him next time we see him.
Love it! Great capture!Sure looks like he has enough gear with him to spend the night where ever he wants. :)
I would bet he found place over between highway and fence line where RR tracks were lots of places he could picket the horses.
What a beautiful image Ciana, good colors also!
Ellen I had passed him before I realized it so stopped on side of road and was watching for them to pass. Too many cars whizzing by to get better picture and he was moving fast.
Terribly interesting candid, so ‘colorful’ and expressive of a vanishing culture.
Definitely candid as never expected tosee something like this!!
Great candid shot! Believe it or not, I see this here sometimes in Illinois… so seldom have my camera ready, though! You would think I’d learn. LOL!
Carry a little point and shot camera with you at all times.Surprising what it can capture. It just took a few misses for me. Although both mine are point and shot a Kodak Z712ISand a Fugi
Looks like fun.
I think this guy travels all over the countryside.
Thank you so much for looking.
Wonderful shot! Wow, lucky him seeing the countryside on horse back.
I would have loved to do this!! Would have loved to go with the cattle roundups my Dad had, but guess I was too young. I loved that time.
wonderful to know that these guys are seen in places out side of Montana, very common here !
Yes it was a surprise, but never know out in the Hill Country where a lot of ranches are.
