Help a broke photographer help you!
Hi all,
So, I’m just wondering if many people here in Redbubble are also in the microstock business (as in selling images to designers). In case anyone is interested and would like to have a go, please do so through the links on my site (because then I’ll get a referral bonus!!!).
In the following link (to my site),

Use the “Microstock” column, which will take you to the sites in question. I would recommend the first six sites. In fact, you can expect daily sales in the first one (although the royalty they pay are very low, they generate a good income).
So there. Have a go. Just make sure you read the guidelines before submiting anything, as the technical requirements won’t be overlooked by their inspection teams.

“they generate a good income” can you be more specific? and what sort of photography lends itself to this? thanks!

Hi Judith,
“they generate a good income”: Their initial royalties payment of the site the most sells is 0,25US$ per image sold, and that’s the lowest payment from all the sites I contribute to. However, have in mind that every image sells many times (not exclusively to one buyer), and one gets many sales a day (depending on size and theme of the portfolio).
Do have a look at the sites themselves for further reference. I’m merely a contributing artist.
About what sort of images are useful, it’s mainly commercial stuff, as well as “raw material” for designers, whereas Redbubble is more artist oriented. Again, the websites themselves have a “most sold images” section, as well as tutorials to help photographers understand what they are looking for.
I hope this helps. Later,
Nando.
