We ventured down to Northern California to see what these Redwood trees were all about… You really have to see them to believe them and feel as small as we really are. They are amazing trees! One of my favorite aspects of Redwood trees is that when they fall in the forest, they allow their trunk, debris and body to be given back to the earth so that other plant life may thrive. There are already a number of plants growing at the base of the one that fell in the background. The fallen trunk also provides homes and shelter for any number of woodland creatures. If I was a squirrel, I would love to live in the shadow of a Redwood.
