Every year, without fail, these three draft horses pull one of two country hayrides at our favorite fall farm. They haul passengers out to the pumpkin patches so excited kids and adults can choose that perfect pumpkin to carve! When everyone is all loaded up again, the pumpkin express takes the people and their new-found treasures back to the farmer’s market where they can purchase home-grown produce, natural jams and jellies, old-fashioned kettle corn, the pumpkins, gourds and so many more fall-like items. It’s really a treat to share in such a country day. Cheers to these three who have to put up with all the petting and repetitious rounds every day of the fall season. I should add, they are extremely well taken care of through these hard days.
