Many of us spend a great deal of time trying to get our work out where it can be seen. We spend countless hours photographing, drawing, painting and processing. We click that upload button always hoping that our current work will resonate with someone enough to want to purchase what we have spent time creating.
I know some people around here lately who have been getting discouraged , this process of create and wait seems to be getting to them. I hope what I have to say will help a bit.
Some of you may not realize how big Redbubble has become as a resource for some very well known companies out there. Everyday at any given time there are photo researchers browsing this site, looking for that they need for their products.
Posting your work on Redbubble is an investment because that they are looking for could belong to .
How do I know this?
Well a few months ago a researcher from a company called Advanti Press contacted me by Bubblemail and he said they were interested in licensing one of my Photographs. I found out this week that they will actually be using my work.
This is the image they will be using….
The researcher found my work by browsing Redbubble.
So my friends, if you have been in need of some sort of incentive, there it is.
Being an artist is not easy work I know. I know how easy it is to get discouraged especially with all the talent that fills this place up on a daily basis, if we start to compare our work to others it can go downhill fast. LOL
We are our own worst critic.
All we can do is our best.
If your goal here on Redbubble is to sell your work, then just make sure you market that. My own ritual before uploading is to evaluate what I am uploading….ask yourself if you would buy it.
If that answer is yes then most likely someone else will want to buy it also and you never know who is looking to buy.
Oh, and please do not forget that REDBUBBLE ROCKS!
I hope you all have a wonderful Holiday Season.
