Milford Sound at the southern end of New Zealand’s South Island. It is not often you get days here when it is not overcast and raining, but this was one of them.

Thanks Gwenda. It is a magical place. It is unfortunate from a photographer’s point of view that it is often raining at Milford Sound, but on this occasion it was a beautiful, bright sunny day.

Thanks for taking a look and for the compliment Raven. I reckon though if you went swimming there without a thick full-body wet suit, your body could well turn a similar colour blue as the water. It is melted snow and ice from the surrounding mountains. But boating yes. It is a great place to go boating.

Now, I reckon that you might be following me around! Yes, the place gave me a feeling of peace. Was the weather fine when you were there? I was told that I was lucky to have a sunny day, because apparently most days it rains in the place.

Yep you sure were lucky! we had an overcast day it was raining a little bit, i was amazed at how clear your pic was even showed the icecaps onthe mountains!
