A Winter's Morning XVII by Ian McGregor

Currently unavailable for purchase

This is a glimpse of a rural fence post set against the eight minutes of sunlight this cold winter’s day brought the frozen prairie. Captured just as the sun started to rise before disappearing behind a thick cloud layer for the remainder of the short day. The ambient temperature was -21C with a windchill of -28C. I used an 85mm prime to focus on the foreground fence. The color in the cold sky was truely magnificent, as hopefully presented in this photo.
