Days
When I wish I knew
The right order
The exact combination
Of words
That would be my key
To your thoughts
You would understand me
My thoughts
In your brain would be
What do I mean?
You would know
one word
would find you smiling
two
and you are not in the wrong place
three
and you are reading the way I do
four
make you want to say that one word
to see others smiling
five
teach you that lesson it took me paragraphs to learn
six
help you know people before knowing them
seven
thank your brain for understanding, your heart for receiving
and your face for positive expression
eight
open you up to acceptance
of you and out of you
nine
and you would understand me, and I, you
ten
ten. . .
we wouldn’t need anymore
we would be above words
by then

I have the same problem with words. Well said, and understood.
I wrote this once when I was getting very annoyed by people who just wouldn’t understand what I was telling them, no matter how reasoned and rational my argument was. I mean, I could repeat and repeat what I said but they’d still not understand or accept. Either that, or they’d take it the wrong way, turn my words against me, or accuse me of false intentions.
But I still love words and conversation is very amusing sometimes as well. I read your piece and I completely understand what you mean. Even now, this is the fourth revision of my reply to your comment because I can’t figure out exactly what I want to say! If only telepathy were possible. Just kidding! I can’t stand the idea of having people look into my mind!
I’ve rambled, but those are words for you. Thanks for the comment.

Why hasn’t anyone else commented on this? I blame you, get moving!
