There’s something about those round dotted discs
Artfully piled on a plate,
Delectable aroma wafting
to your nose
Next to a TALL GLASS of creamy white delight,
That makes little hearts so happy . . .
And little hands Reach and Grab
For soft and chewy,
Hard and Crunchy
Those dotted discs make
everyone brothers and sisters
So that all may share
with a smile
Before naptime comes Snacktime
As kindergarten boys and girls
RUSH RUSH RUSH to their chairs
Before Lovely teacher comes to pass
out the Giraffe and Monkey and Sheep
and hippo
Chomp! Chomp!
OFF goes Giraffe’s head
Sheep’s wool is p u l l e d a p a r t
Gulp! Gulp!

goes the creamy whiteness
through a dark tunnel
Crumbs fall,
peanut butter
sweet sugar

Then sleep . . .
Those dotted discs
are heavenly
delicious-warm-sweet-artwork. . .
They bring people together

Hey! that’s cool. I like the way it’s written and it is about my favorite snack. Just one comment. Animal crackers are not dotted or discs. But they’re still good, so i’m ok with it. Reminds me of a poem I wrote, maybe i’ll find it and post it.
Yeah, well I just meant it to be about cookies and everyone knows chocolate chip, so, well, you know . . .

very well written … great piece of work
Thanks, SD. It was really meant as a form of “literary art” I guess; my aim was really the display of the words and how the font styles fit the meanings. It was a little difficult to try and get that same thing across on the computer ( I handwrote the original) but I did my best. Glad you liked it.
