Moby reminds me of a cartoon fish what do you think?

Moby the Pearl scale or Golf Ball Fish. I was changing Moby’s water and only had the glass at hand. When I got him in the glass I looked over and thought how cute and how funny.

Pearl scales are very funny fish to watch swimming in a tank, they wiggle and strain to get to the bottom of the tank and sometimes even float backwards up to the top of the tank. I am not sure why this is the case but they do.

Pearl scales look like they have swallowed a golf ball, their whole body is a perfect ball, with a tiny head, big eyes and beautiful long tails and fins to swim with.

They really do remind me of a cartoon and I think they are really cute and funny fish, What do you think?.

    Oh i love moby! What a grouse fish! I have a few fish, namely, Tom, Dick, Harry ( who live in a bowl next to my bed) and banjo and Dolly…who live in a bowl in the passage way oh and there is Fat Bastard and Co in a big ceramic bowl out on the front porch! I love them..they are so cool…Moby is gorgeous~!

    Oh Salabells69 you have to get yourself a Moby (Pearl Scale or Golf Ball fish) there the funniest fish you will ever see swimming. It really looks like something straight out of a cartoon. Baby Pearl scales look exactly like Moby but a good 4 0r 5 times smaller.

    i love him…he is gorgeous..but i dont have any room for any more right now..I have seen Pearl Scale here and would probably be my next purchase when I get the room. They have great character~! This is such a good image of Moby in the glass. Awesome shot..really brings out his character :D

    I absolutely LOVE pearl scales !! they are so awesome to watch. Right now we have a fat fancy fan tail, and an apple snail though. Wonderful picture of Moby

    I love pearl scales or golf ball fish (love this name). I dont have much luck keeping them alive, Moby surived for a long time though.

    LOL! Cute! Gas bladders are what fish use to regulate their depth once they reach where they want to be. Sounds like Pearl scale fish have a little less control over theirs, probably causing them to be so…rotund. LOL! What a bummer to have to fight to get food on the bottom of the tank. If he misses it at the top he’d better catch it quick on the way down. :-D

    for your comments if you ever have a chance to go to an aquarium or pet shop and watch these fish swim its worth it so funny especially the adults. The fatter they are the harder the job is to get to the bottom of the tank.

    Thanks Angel Gold, it was only for a short while, until his tank was cleaned. I can only imagine what poor Moby must have been thinking when i scooped him up and placed him in the glass.
