Yea, Victoria, Australia
Photo taken days after I walked out on my x husband forever, this was the man I thought was my best friend, my lover, my soulmate, the father of any childern I may have had, the man I thought I would grow old with. What a disappointment that was and how hard it was to walk away and not to return to him and my newly built home in the Yarra valley.
Funny how life turns out the way it does.
I never imagined that i would be single, go through relationship after relationship, rent houses on my own, have housemates, be a lead tenant and share a house with teenagers that have been in the welfare system all there life, be a disability worker, go from job to job, be on a wonderful site like redbubble selling my art work and having people admire it and send me lovely comments and bubblemail about my work from all over Australia and The world, buying a cello and learning to play it, buying a new car and paying it off.
YES!
Funny how life turns out.

i love this image. the symbolism is strong & a very strong story.
Karin Mai replied
Thanks LucyAnnx,
I was free, angry, relieved, sad, heart broken and going through the 7 or 11 steps of grief that I had to get up and walk away from my 11 year relationship with my husband at the time. Because if I didnt I would never have gone on Redbubble, taken photos or be in the work that I am in now because I felt suffocated by him.
Cheers Kaz
LucyAnnx

Karin Mai replied
