Emerald, Victoria, Australia
I have spent countless hours playing as a child in this forest and as an adult I spend countless hours trying to destress in the same forests.

ohhhhhh this is just amazing, an instant fave for me, because going back to nature to de-stress is such a wonderful thing to do, I love to touch the tree’s, feel their energy and just take time to breathe. Very relaxing photo, well done :0)
Karin Mai replied
Thank you for the comment AlexMac. The trees are in groves of chestnuts, oaks and elms, they are at least 100 years old. cheers kaz

Thank you so much for the comment Poupoune. I wanted to do this photograph for so long. had the idea in the back of my head for ages, but had to wait until it wasnt to cold and blowing gales and not to hot that I would set the forest on fire. There came that perfect night and I got the shot. cheers kaz

Coloursofnature
how beautiful that would have been
Karin Mai replied
The photo was placed on red card so it really stood out, she got the idea from me. I made up a card for my Grandmother after her husband had died and we buried his ashes in the forest not far from where I took my photos she liked it so much that she wanted to use the same photo for her wedding invitations.

Nice but wanna know a secret? Shhhhhh! ~If you know when it’s going to snow, do the same thing, let it come down for a fairly good dusting, and you’ll know when to start shooting! The snow will filter the coloured light and show the fairies at play out of sight. Hehehe!
I know because I’m Santa Claus. I know these things. ;-) ~
Karin Mai replied
Thanks Lenny for the hint unfortunately Emerald gets a dusting of snow probably every ten years and it was this year that they got the dusting. But will try next time theres snow.
