I started photographing with my mothers brownie box camera from an early age using ilford black and white film.
At the age of 12 (1986) my parents brought me my first Kodak automatic camera which I enjoyed, before it died and was replaced with a pentax automatic pocket camera in 1991.
I continued with photography classes at Secondary college (1989) and then later at Tafe (2001) with my Richo film SLR with a macro – 100 mm lense and a 70mm to 300mm lense given too me for my 21st birthday (1995). I found that this camera is very useful with Myrtle Beech forest shots that I like to take.
Since 2002 I have moved onto my minolta manual and auto focus film SLR with a 70mm – 100mm lense and a 100mm to 300mm lense which I also use on my Sony A 300. I brought this camera when my nephew was born as I wanted a quick focusing camera which this was great for and I have some beautiful photos of him as a baby.
Since 2008 I have been using my Sony A 300 Digital SLR with a 70 – 200mm lense and my minolta 100mm – 300mm lense. I have captured some great moments with this camera and I particularly enjoy letting people see what I can see via my camera and photos.
I greatly appreciate peoples comments and advise about my artwork.
My career is in disability and in my spare time photography and art media.
I grew up in Emerald which is in the foothills of the Dandenongs, 60km, south east of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It was the best place to grow up.
I now reside in The Dandenongs.
I hope you enjoy my photos as much as I have enjoyed taking them for you too view.
cheers
Kaz
