Snoek (barracuda) catching along the West Coast of South Africa is often the main income and food source of many Coloured fishermen living in small coastal towns all along the coast. The fish are hung out to dry, before it gets braaid (barbecued). It is also made into curry dishes and often smoked as delicatessen pieces.
