this girl is so lovable!

Stunning Cheri – I wish we had some of these in the UK [well actually, no I dont as that would mean they are not in the forest, but I mean ones that are already captive – oh LOL, you know what I mean] to photograph. They are such beautiful primates, so perfectly sculptured and defined facially and their coats are so rich and colourful. An interesting fact of the Red Flank is that the white stripe on its side is for camouflage – strange huh! Who would have thought that a great big bright white stripe could be effective. I watched a video on these guys and they showed how the stripe is used when a threat is percieved. The monkey could be seen clearly within the tree branches when looking face on, but when it turned its white stripe toward the camera, it was almost iniviisble – it was awesome.

This is yet another superb image of the Douc in your collection – absolutely perfect.

What an incredible creature! This is a very fine photographic study of this unusual primate, photographed and processed extremely well with the “Mom” in a great pose showing an interesting quizzical expression.
Great lighting and exposure and a good depth of field with a nice sharp focus deliver lovely detail clearly and cleanly.
The colours seem beautifully natural and the presentation is most attractive.
