Walkers at Sycamore Gap, Hadrian's Wall, Northumberland by

Leica M2 1960 and Zeiss C Sonnar ZM 50mm lens. Kodak Tri-X Film.

Self Taught Amateur Landscape photographer, Outdoor Enthusiast/Hill Walker, Civil Engineer. Love film and digital, both still have their place.

Given my first camera by my father in 1977 when I started High School- an old Yashica Rangefinder-I wish I still had it.

Dabbled a bit in photography whllst at University, but took it up more seriously in 2005 when I picked up my first digital camera. Can only afford to shoot film if I process it myself.

Excellent composition. This looks very much like the scene from the Kevin Costner Robun Hood movie.

  • Thanks. It is the tree from the movie but it isn’t on the way to Nottingham or really anywhere near it.

It’s on Hadrian’s Wall, the northern most permanent frontier in the Roman Empire, which at one time had more Legions stationed on it than any other frontier, just to keep the Picts etc out-there is a museum to the Roman Army nearby.

Love this, do you still have that M2 ? tony

  • Thanks Tony, I do still have the M2 but with work and looking to move house etc I don’t have as much time to process film as I used to but will get back to it again.

    Cheers
