    Will it come to this
the long long loss of bliss
can the dust destroy us so completely
and then the rain come in full mockery
    thunder booming lightening strikes
life will be stark no grace will unite
    people will fight
    values dissolve
    as survival will savage us
    no will will resolve
with there come a child to awaken with a cry
the deep seeded root of what once was high prize
    care consideration compassion respect
    look to without
    and not just to expect
or shall it be a girl tear tracks ingrained
to walk wistfully amoung us and help
    over and over again
will her ceaseless compassion heal all the pain
like Pandora’s fairy will she resolve it again
and would it be worth it to ones selfish
    so blinkered and deaf
will they have realised would they now regret
are her efforts wasted alone as she cries
I shall help her help others
    and who else shall try

and our souls will beat with the energy pumped
swollen will choke us but still we shall on
for there in the corner of rock and dead wood
in a beam from the sun
    filtered in soot
    a flicker of hope
    a glimpse of what’s been
    the tiniest of shoots
    the start of new green
This time we shall love first
    and be loved
    in a dream

yes sir you do inspire me to write again!
It also reminds me of songs from a local artist; “Outside Badland’s Fantasy” or “the Cloud of Knowing” – by Neil Quinlan
    STUNNING!!!
    Thank you!

  • Wow, that’s fantastic. I love how you end with a vision of hope. It’s amazing how one piece of work can inspire another. I feel this idea is rejected too much in the “real world” as egos and pride get in the way.
All I want from the artwork I create is to make people feel something. I’m so happy this image made you feel enough to want to write your own piece.
    Thank you.
