Ever since I was a young child, I’ve held in my mind the image of a silken curtain, separating what I perceive to be two worlds. The first is the physical, practical world in which I am obligated to live… and the second is one in which extraordinary things can happen, where my sense of wonder is free to roam and experiment without fear of repercussion or limitation.
Photography, like music, allows me to run my hands along that curtain, feeling out the objects and landscapes that lie behind it – my way of exploring the magical from the prison of the mundane.
