A memory of this broken barn in my friend Jenn’s backyard. What a piece of eye candy it was for me every time I came to visit. Unfortunately it was swept away during a vicious tornado that ripped through Massachusetts in June 2011.
This one’s for you Jenn! ![]()

a tornado? wow! I am a tornado and storm lover. I don’t want to die before I see one with my eyes. don’t worry…. not for the destructive side but for the beauty of the phenomenon, the extreme power of nature in action! the dream!… but sorry for your friend.
anyway, the picture is beautiful! that red barn contrasting with the green forest is perfect and the treatment, gorgeous (I wish I can do that too). oh… the letter “K” on the barn’s door, is it for “Kremsdorf”? lol
Oh trust me, that tornado was unexpected and very unusual for the area but so powerful, I couldn’t recognize the area when I went to visit in September. It was horrible, I couldn’t believe my eyes. Forests were gone, not to mention houses.
As far as the barn, it was not used, it was just sitting there broken but I loved it. It was my first abandoned subject :)
And yeah, it was K was definitely for Kremsdorf. Even though it was built before I was born LOL
Thanks girl!!! x
