Sunset Over The New Forest by

The sun going down over the New Forest, taken from the Solent at the entrance to Southampton Water. The dramatic colours are caused by the ash cloud from Icelandic Volcano that erupted in April 2010.

About Paul Hutchinson

Hi I’m Paul, and thank you for taking a peek into my world.

I’m forty-something and live in Eastleigh, Hampshire, England.
I have been interested in photography for some years now, but since buying a DSLR camera with some redundancy money, that exploded into what could almost be described as an obsession!

I hope you enjoy.

    Gorgeous colors, lighting and composition!

  • Thanks Mariann – the mood on the water that evening was surreal, I’ve not seen the sky that colour before or since.
