"Board Walk, with a sepia feel" by

After a week of day shifts and early starts I gave up my “sleep in” and got up to try and catch the sunrise down at the Seaport. I was lucky as there was mist, probably a bit too much, but better than none ;) But I also discovered I have alot of “crap” inside my camera and have to use CS#3 to remove from all my shots now?? Might have to send it away to get cleaned; as I have tried all sorts of things today to remove it,,,,but no good?
I shot this looking towards Lston as the sun is poking thru, but tht this looked more “moody” with a sepia feel.

Great shot Dale… nice in sepia too… love the pov and tones too! Is the crap on the sensor? I had that problem with my 350D and a friend told me that the local camera house charged her $25 to get it cleaned. I always thought it had to be sent away…. who knows… might be worth checking out?! I gave my daughter the old camera and to my knowledge she hasn’t done anything about it yet.

  • Thanks Jenn! I quite like haha. There is crap in there you can see looking thru the VF but doesnt appear on shots,,but now there are a couple of “spots” you cant see that appear on all shots??

When I had the 350D it was really annoying… mostly you could spot them out but occasionally a spot would end up in a position that took a lot more effort to get rid of….. pain in @#$%… lol!

    Nice shot!

As for the dust etc, what you can see through the viewfinder wont appear on the shots because it is in the viewfinder optics and is only annoying when composing.
The spots you can’t see that turn up on the shots would be on the sensor and should be fixed by a clean.
One benefit of the film that I like shooting is that you get a brand new sensor for every shot…but then I have to spot out the inevitable dust that I get when scanning so swings and roundabouts…

  • Thanks Greg! Yeah I reckon they mate,,thanks!
