Three bolts of lightning hitting the ground near Geelong.
Taken from the Geelong waterfront looking West towards the Promenade and Cunningham Pier.
It has been pointed out to me, you can see a hand in the cloud formation pointing towards the far right lightning bolt!

Spectacular Peter – well timed. I especially love your composition – the way the pier draws you into the picture, the mauve tones and lighting on the horizon are great contrasts too. I don’t think you were lucky! This looks like a well thought out shot to me!
I did a few back flips when I see this on the back of the camera, it was luck though, for every good one I got, I missed some absolute beauties!
