Lady of Silence

Lady of silence, I can’t afford you
What dreams may come, kept out of view

Visions of sin are repackaged empty
The bridesmaid has eloped with the keeper of the keys
They live peacefully over yonder hill on their hands and knees
While the best man has no remedy
The wanted man has found dignity

No one here seems to know anything, but stick with me baby
I won’t tell you I’m alright, we both know pain is free
And the wind in the willows keeps chasing after me

Lady of Silence
