Lux Helsinki brings light to the darkest time of the year. This free-of-charge city event presents light installations and art performances.

Olympic Stadium Tower by Jukka Huitila; variant spectrum
“variant spectrum” illuminates the Olympic Stadium Tower (build 1952) in a colourful spectrum that emphasis its role as one of the main landmarks in Helsinki – now in a completely new light. Seen from a far the light installation creates a varying spectrum the entire height of the tower. Up close the colours of the spectrum stands out more clearly and creates a wavelike movements that brings the structural rhythms of the tower’s façade and its balconies to life.
