The Konik is a small horse, originated from Poland.
Nowadays, semi-wild herds of koniks can be seen in many nature reserves and parks.
The Koniks in this picture live in a small nature reserve in the Netherlands.

What a dramatic photo………and the explanation is fantastic! I’ve always loved horses. When I was a young girl, I begged my mother for a horse. Her reply was, “Where are we going to keep it? Under the bed?” So I never had the chance to enjoy these beautiful animals.
