Iron Man .... an Orphan Work?????

Posted almost 4 years ago

I havn’t been here for a bit but I couldn’t resist sharing this …

I saw a very interesting movie yesterday and maybe few noticed the message but my receptors were on.

Iron Man is great and Stan Lee has a cameo in it. Talk about a glitzy flic …. WOW … beautiful effects of every kind. I WANT AN IRON MAN SUIT! Oh and I want Tony Starks Malibu Beach House too. I never…

And for the record ....

Posted about 4 years ago

I’d heard about this but finally got to read it …

Little Orphan Artworks

Great Editorial!

I hope the folks in Congress start listening to
stuff like this. They, and subsequently WE, are being led down a very
dark and blind alley by a bunch of folks with extremely narrow
interests.

Orphan Works .... One more time ...

Posted about 4 years ago

Some simple questions …

Do you believe you should have the right to OWN YOUR CREATIVE PROPERTY, affectively defend that right, have that right respected world wide, and have that right protected?

I see people talk about copyright infringement and their images being stolen all the time on here and other POD’s. And some get quite upset about it. Will you be able to afford a per image …

OK so it wasn't my last entry on the Orphan Works Act

Posted about 4 years ago

I said that in that entry because I felt I was getting a bit obsessed about it … but anyway …

I just wanted to share this … well cuz it made me feel good and like I was at least trying to help make a difference. I got this e-mail from Brad Holland of IP today …

Dear Harry, Here’s the way I’ve re-worked your letter. We’d like to use this on our advocacy site. I’ve obviousl…

Hmmmm ... SO what do you think will happen???

Posted about 4 years ago

I’d have to say, if someone asked me what the postal rate was for a letter … I’d look at them really dumbfounded. I just go to the Post Office and say I want a book of stamps … I usually get those “forever” stamps.

BUT the day before yesterday I was near the Post Office on one side of town and stopped in to get stamps. The employee there said we don’t h…

It may or may not happen but ....

Well I never got my new truck … they just couldn’t seem to get me what I wanted. They tried to sell me all kinds of things I didn’t want after making a deal on just the truck I wanted that seemed to disappear once I put a deposit down.

Then my trade-in got backed into this past weekend and lost half it’s trade-in value.

Well the ol’ purple people eattah …̷…

An Odd Exchange???

Posted about 4 years ago

I don’t know, maybe this Orphan Works Act stuff has me seeing guys behind the fence on the grassy knoll but …

I’ve been removing images from my stores and places either to reduce or completely elimnate my images from online until things are resolved with the legislation or I decide to get things registered and if I am going to even continue doing this. Even if I do register wha…

My last entry on Orphan Works

Posted about 4 years ago

If you haven’t gotten around to reading the Bill itself you should …

My favorite part is the title itself …

A BILL

To provide a limitation on judicial remedies in copyright infringement cases involving orphan works.

At one time in this country we used to talk about our rights and protections under the Constitution … not the limitaion of those rights.

Yet more opinon on Orphan Works ....

Posted about 4 years ago

I essentially said this as a comment on someone elses journal but I thought I should repeat it …

For those of you who aren’t enraged about this issue yet … here’s what it comes down to.

The people we have representing us in Washington, and most visibly on the current campaign trail, are far more affraid of upsetting or even just slightly offending people in this country wh…
